Some days, you just want to eat cake and with our recipe you can! Enjoy as part of the program as an afternoon snack or dessert. This recipe uses our Chocolate Flavour Shake Loss Protein Powder.
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 teaspoon powdered stevia (sweetener) or chocolate stevia drops
- 1 dash of sea salt
- 1 scoop of SLIMTOX chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
With a small whisk or fork, mix the softened almond butter and egg until smooth. Add the stevia powder and salt and continue whisking to blend. Add in cocoa powder, protein powder and the baking powder and continue to mix well making sure it's all smooth and blended.
Gently pour into a 250ml mug (it should fill to around half way). As the cake cooks, it will rise so ensure you have the room for this (otherwise it may overflow and get messy).
Place the mug into the microwave uncovered and cook on high for 30 seconds. Check and if it appears to have too much liquid on top, continue for another 10 seconds. Look for a soft 'gooey' consistency on the top of your cake. If you think it's cooked enough, remove the mug from the microwave and allow to settle for around 20 seconds.
TIP: Resist the urge to cook longer than 45 seconds in total as you want your cake to be soft and gooey.
