INGREDIENTS
- 200 grams lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 large portobello mushroom caps
- 1 small thinly sliced white onion
- 2 large lettuce leaves

METHOD
Heat a small pan over medium-high heat. Spray with a bit of olive oil cooking spray and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl and mix until well combined.
Divide into two equal portions and shape into patties. Remove the gills from the portobello mushroom caps. Preheat pan to medium-high heat.
Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side (for medium-well) and the portobello mushroom caps for about 4 minutes on each side, until slightly softened. Top each burger with the sautéed onions, a lettuce leaf, and 1 teaspoon dijon mustard. Serve on a mushroom cap.
